Job summary

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Interim/Turnaround Manager to lead transformation projects in UK adult care homes on a self-employed, contract basis. Roles focus on rapidly turning around underperforming services across settings such as learning disabilities, dementia, complex care, and residential/nursing facilities.

You will drive 30–90 day improvement plans, mentor care teams, and manage stakeholder relationships while ensuring service continuity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Registered Manager with an NMC PIN (clinical experience) or NVQ Level 5 Leadership & Management (non-clinical).
• Proven success turning around services rated Inadequate/Requires Improvement.
• At least 5 years recent experience as a registered manager in healthcare, preferably care homes.
• Knowledge of UK care home regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to rapidly assess, decide and implement effective solutions.
• Experience managing budgets and staffing.
• Access to own vehicle and Full UK driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS with rolling update, plus Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is expanding its elite Task Force Team and seeks accomplished Interim/Turnaround Managers to join the team on a freelance contractor basis and help to transform underperforming care homes across the UK's adult care sector with proven experience in the specialisms areas such as - Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Mental Health Conditions, Complex Care, Supported Living, Epilepsy, Dementia, Domiciliary Care, Elderly Care, Residential or Nursing Care, Local Authorities, Eating disorders, Sensory impairments (hearing, sight, multi-sensory), Long-term conditions (such as - neurological, respiratory, amongst others), Physical disabilities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Conducting comprehensive operational diagnostics to identify root causes of underperformance
• Implementing immediate stabilising measures for crisis situations
• Developing CQC compliance roadmaps across all Key Lines of Enquiry
• Restructuring care delivery systems to ensure sustainable quality improvements
• Preparing homes for successful mock and actual CQC inspections
• Delivering complete handover documentation with maintained improvements
• Stakeholder management throughout each assignment

Requirements

• Registered Manager with a valid NMC PIN (with Clinical Experience) or a NVQ Level 5 Leadership & Management (with Non-Clinical Experience)
• Proven success in turning around 'Inadequate' or 'Requires Improvement' services
• At least 5 years of recent experience in a registered manager role in the healthcare industry, preferably in a care home setting
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for care homes in the UK
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to rapidly assess, decide and implement effective solutions
