Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre is seeking an Interim Progress Coach to provide dedicated support to a caseload of students, delivering weekly group tutorials and 1-1 coaching to remove barriers to learning.

You will signpost students to specialist College services, monitor progress and contribute to high retention and achievement. A teaching qualification or progress towards one is required, with a focus on developing relationships with learners.

Qualifications

• Recognised Teaching Qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
• Some experience of working directly with students/young people.
• Some experience and/or knowledge of employability skills.
• Ability to develop effective relationships with students on a 1:1 and group basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-to-one meetings with individual students to provide individual support.
• Monitor student progress, retention, attendance and achievement rates.
• Work closely with other staff across the College, involved in the learner journey to ensure standardisation of the student experience.
• Provide additional academic coaching including study skills development as required
• Ensure all appropriate administration is completed in a timely manner in relation to each student
