Job summary

Study Group at Royal Holloway International Study Centre is seeking a Progression & Transition Coach to support student progression needs, deliver tutorials face-to-face and online, and work with the academic team to monitor achievements and implement interventions for successful progression to the partner university.

The post holder will deliver Academic Success tutorials, provide 1:1 support, design study-skills content, track attendance, and maintain student records while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience organising trips and risk assessments.
• Experience creating engaging content and delivering workshops or similar.
• Experience working collaboratively with external partners to facilitate activities and engagement.
• Experience facilitating the ‘student voice’ including feedback mechanisms.
• Working in a regulated environment and following safeguarding processes.
• Working in customer facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Academic Success tutorials and 1:1 personal development, academic and progression counselling.
• Design and create learning materials around study skills, welfare topics and employability.
• Update and maintain the virtual learning environment and embed digital learning technologies.
• Put attendance interventions in place and record them in line with policy.
• Track student performance and liaise with the academic team to identify interventions.
• Monitor student destination offers and refer non-progressing students for assistance.
• Track VLE analytics and identify gaps and actions for students.
• Support students’ wellbeing and liaise with the Wellbeing Team as needed.
• Ensure student records are up to date and assist with centre administration.
• Organise wellbeing, enrichment and transition events and support the team.
