Job summary

Runshaw College in Leyland, Lancashire, invites applications for a Progress Mentor to support learners aged 16–19. You will mentor students, remove barriers to learning and help them achieve their full potential through coaching and pastoral care, in line with college policies and the VESPA principles.

The successful candidate will deliver the Tutorial curriculum, conduct regular one-to-one reviews and foster an inclusive, high-expectation learning environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or above required.
• Teaching qualification essential.
• Experience mentoring or supporting young people.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Tutorial curriculum.
• Conduct regular one-to-one review meetings with students.
• Provide pastoral support across the 16-19 programme.
• Mentor students to progress to university, apprenticeships or employment destinations.
• Maintain high expectations and positive learner behaviour in line with college policies.
