Job summary

An interim Service Charge Officer / Analyst role in a well-established housing association in London. The role focuses on completing 2025/26 service charge actuals and reconciliations, with potential extension to support the 2026/27 cycle.

This is an urgent requirement, ideal for hands-on candidates with relevant experience. Key duties include processing reconciliations, handling accruals and prepayments, investigating queries with other teams, embedding best practices in service charge

Qualifications

• Experience of service charge accounting and reconciliations within housing.
• Confident working with accruals, prepayments and financial data.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to understand and summarise data.
• Hands on person with initiative who doesn't need constant direction.
• Accurate, organised and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Complete 2025/26 service charge reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Work with accruals, prepayments and service charge data.
• Investigate queries and follow up with relevant teams to get the information needed.
• Help embed good processes and best practice across service charge accounting.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and confidently get things moving.
