Job summary

TELSTRA Associates in London is seeking a qualified Service Charge Accountant to manage residential service charge reconciliations and balance sheets. The role requires close collaboration with auditors and property management teams to deliver precise financial reporting.

The candidate will handle multiple service charge schedules, ensure compliance with the RICS Service Charge Code, and manage debtors/creditors during charge periods while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Residential Service Charges.
• Experience working with external auditors and handling detailed audit inquiries.
• Experience working with property management databases.
• Well-versed in the RICS Service Charge Code and Professional Statement requirements.
• Understanding of Reserve/Sinking funds management.
• Proven expertise in residential service charge reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Section 20b notices and recoveries.
• Ability to manage multiple Service Charge schedules concurrently.
• Experience working through Debtors and Creditors during Service Charge periods.

A leading Professional Services company is seeking a Service Charge Accountant Residential on a contract basis.

You will be needed to work onsite in London 2 times per week.

The Service Charge Accountant will be responsible for managing and reconciling service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
