Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled interim Senior HR Advisor to join their Portsmouth team until the end of the year. You will provide expert guidance on employee relations, support absence and probation management, and contribute to HR policy development.

Ideal candidates hold CIPD Level 5 and have proven HR generalist experience, with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach. This is an on-site role with travel as required.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven HR generalist experience.
• Strong background managing employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, and absence management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide pragmatic HR advice to diverse stakeholder groups.
• Able to adapt quickly within a busy, multi-site organisation and willing to travel when required.
• Proactive with a solution‑oriented approach to staff development and organisational improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, including investigations and disciplinary procedures, to ensure fair and consistent practices across the group.
• Support staff absence and probation management to drive engagement and efficient workforce operations.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies to enhance organisational effectiveness and staff wellbeing.
• Collaborate with managers to improve HR processes and provide professional, practical advice.
• Support HR projects and initiatives to promote continuous improvement within the organisation.
