Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in London is seeking an experienced Interim SEND Curriculum Manager to lead Supported Learning provision at an FE college. You will provide strategic leadership, maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and ensure inclusive educational experiences for learners with SEND.

Key duties include developing SEND and Supported Learning programmes from Pre-Entry to Level 1, managing staff, ensuring quality assurance, compliance, and progression, and leading improvement through

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Curriculum Manager or equivalent leadership role in Further Education.
• Strong background in SEND, Supported Learning, Foundation Learning or High Needs provision.
• Experience managing teaching and support staff.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, quality assurance and funding compliance.
• Experience supporting learners with EHCP outcomes.
• Leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Teaching qualification and leadership training, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of high-quality SEND and Supported Learning programmes from Pre-Entry to Level 1.
• Manage and support teaching and support staff, driving performance, accountability and professional development.
• Oversee curriculum planning and delivery, ensuring provision meets learners' needs and supports progression.
• Monitor attendance, retention, achievement and progression, using data to drive improvement.
• Maintain compliance with funding regulations, quality assurance requirements and relevant educational standards.
• Contribute to internal and external audits, Ofsted inspections and quality reviews.
• Manage curriculum budgets and resources effectively.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop inclusive practices and improve learner outcomes.
