We are recruiting for a well-known insurance business in London which has grown through acquisition. They have a transformed procurement function, and as part of this they are hiring a short-term temporary role within their procurement excellence team.
Your new role
This insurance business has recently acquired another business, and as a result there is lots of analysis needing to be done across their supplier landscape globally. In this interim role, you will identify and reduce any supplier risk amongst the existing suppliers, as well as identify any synergies that could take place. You will be partnering with the business to understand what is fit for purpose and work with suppliers to ensure the supply chain is robust.
What you'll need to succeed
In this Category Manager role, you will be responsible for the efficient procurement and sourcing of professional services, including, but not limited to; HR, marketing, consultancy, tax, audit, legal. This role will involve supplier analysis and evaluation, strategic sourcing, strong negotiation, and supplier management.
What you'll get in return
To succeed in this role, you must be able to take on a short-term contract (approximately 6 weeks). You should have prior experience in identifying supplier risk and implementing internal policies. Experience working with supplier assurance and risk management frameworks is also required.
