About Our Client

My client is a high-profile Regulator, and the role can be based in either London or Birmingham.

Role:

• Lead the development, delivery, and implementation of key policies, employing robust project management techniques.
• Conduct rigorous impact assessments, including equality impact assessments, of policy proposals.
• Maintain knowledge of current thinking and best practices within regulatory, legal, professional education, and public policy environments.
• Contribute to internal discussions and debates on regulatory policy and education/training agendas at a senior level.
• Represent the Regulator at conferences and events.
• Build influential relationships with key external stakeholders, understanding their agendas.
• Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of regulatory activities, including education and training requirements.
• Produce and present comprehensive reports, consultation papers, policy documents, and papers for committees and boards.

Essential qualifications and experience include:

• Strong background in a Policy role
• Experience in policy development in related environments
• Proven leadership in project teams and policy implementation
• Decisiveness and independent thinking
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience in producing complex reports and policy documents
• Excellent knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall operations
• Academic background in policy, law, or related fields
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Understanding of and commitment to the values of the Not For Profit sector
