Job summary

Recruit4staff is representing an established manufacturing business recruiting an Interim Production Manager to lead a pharmaceutical production area in Wrexham. The role focuses on visual inspection, packing operations, and achieving production targets.

You will work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to implement operational strategies, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring cGMP and EHS compliance. 3-month contract with day-rate salary prospects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Production Manager or Interim Production Manager within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong experience in pharmaceutical visual inspection and packing operations.
• Proven management experience leading teams of more than 15 employees, with at least two reporting levels.
• Ability to manage departmental performance, operational budgets, and production objectives.
• Degree-level qualification and/or formal management qualifications.
• Experience managing continuous improvement initiatives within pharmaceutical production.
• Previous experience as an Interim Production Manager overseeing cross-functional operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of a key production area within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, overseeing visual inspection and packing operations.
• Develop operational strategies with senior leadership, Planning, Supply Chain and Engineering.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure cGMP and EHS compliance.
• Oversee production documentation, investigations, maintenance, calibration and validation activities.
