Job summary

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys seeks an Interim Network Manager to lead IT infrastructure, network services and digital systems across the boys’ and girls’ schools and the KEC. You will ensure secure, reliable technology services and alignment with Foundation standards.

You will manage day-to-day operations, disaster recovery, and the continued development of Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure, while coordinating with the central Digital Team to deliver consistent IT services across

Qualifications

• Experience managing IT infrastructure and services across complex or multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure and Windows Server.
• Experience managing LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VLANs, DNS and DHCP.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection and patch management.
• Experience managing IT support, service delivery and technical escalations.
• Experience deploying and managing Windows and Apple devices.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation, asset records and configuration standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of reliable and effective IT services across multiple sites.
• Manage technical support activities through Halo ITSM platform.
• Coordinate local IT resources, contractors and suppliers.
• Adhere to procurement systems and policies.
• Maintain wired and wireless networks, internet connectivity, firewalls, servers and storage.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and perform preventative maintenance.
• Resolve complex technical issues.
• Implement cybersecurity controls including MFA, conditional access and endpoint protection.
• Maintain internet filtering, monitoring and email security.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements are documented and tested.
• Maintain asset inventories, licensing records and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, cyber security requirements and data protection obligations.
• Support audits, risk assessments and vulnerability remediation.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and technology projects.
• Support implementation of standardised platforms and processes.
• Improve service efficiency, reliability and user experience.
• Provide continuity, documentation and effective handover arrangements.
• Support the Academy Trust's vision, policies and performance processes.
