Job summary

Kaizen Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Interim Shift Manager for our Redditch facility. You will own shift manufacturing output, lead a small production team and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the factory floor.

You will report to the Production Manager, playing a key role in safety, quality, and layout optimisation projects while ensuring KPI targets are met and processes run smoothly on your shift.

Qualifications

• Experience leading shop-floor teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Capable of driving continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all shop-floor manufacturing activities during shift to meet target volume and productivity KPIs.
• Lead health and safety on shift, enforce standards, conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance.
• Motivate and supervise a small production team, addressing performance and attendance as needed.
• Ensure product quality aligns with customer specifications and drive root-cause analysis on defects.
• Support site-wide CI projects, including floor layout and workflow optimization.
