Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting is engaged to source an Interim Management Accountant for a Plymouth-based role with hybrid working. The role focuses on delivering timely management accounts and supporting the month-end process for a technology business.

The candidate will lead reporting, produce P&L statements and assist with forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis in a busy finance environment. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential, with the ability to manage workload and meet tight

Qualifications

• Experience as Management Accountant or interim role with ability to deliver accurate financial reporting from day one.
• Strong grasp of accounting processes including month end close and financial reporting.
• Able to produce clear and accurate financial reports to guide business decisions.
• Comfortable learning new systems and working with Excel and ERP tools.

Interim Management Accountant - Plymouth/ Hybrid - £40k-£50k FTE - Full time - 3 months+

Following recent positive developments, their finance team is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to work closely with the Financial Controller to take the lead on reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• - Assisting with forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis

We’re looking for an experiencedManagement Accountantwho thrives in a busy finance environment and enjoys being hands-on with the numbers. You’ll have a strong grasp of accounting processes, from managing the month end close, to producing clear and accurate financial reports that help guide business decisions. You’re confident using Excel and accounting software and comfortable learning your way around new systems. If you’ve worked with ERP systems before, that’s a great bonus. You’re someone who can manage your own workload, stay organised under pressure and keep things moving efficiently when deadlines are tight. Most importantly, you communicate clearly, work well with others and have an excellent eye for detail.
