Qualifications

Consultant - Interim Recruitment at Baker Charles - Interim Management Accountant

Based: Central London

6 month contract with view to go permanent

Start: ASAP

My client is entering a major phase of growth, and we are looking for a Management Accountant who is not only technically strong, but commercially sharp, entrepreneurial, and hungry for progression. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to operate far beyond traditional month-end accounting.

Role Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely management accounts for multiple divisions
• Lead management information reporting and cross-divisional financial insight
• Support the creation of the 2026 budget and future forecasting
• Identify and analyse new revenue opportunities
• Build commercial models, including acquisition modelling and new venture feasibility
• Provide financial insight across IT, new buildings, commercial licensing and strategy
• Prepare department reports, presentation packs, and panel meeting schedules
• Work closely with senior leaders to explain financial performance and business impact
• Maintain controls across P&L, balance sheet, and financial processes
• Improve accounting workflows, reporting structures, and system usage (NetSuite)
• Assist with audit, year-end, and governance activities
• Support the development of new divisions and income streams
• Operate as a future leader — with the long-term expectation to progress into Finance Manager and Financial Controller roles

You must be a qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CAANZ or SAICA. You must have 3+ PQE in a similar role, with excellent understanding of accounting principles, P&L and cash flow expertise. You must have excellent commercial understanding, and have NetSuite experience.
