Interim Financial Accountant

£450–£500 per day (Inside IR35), London, 3 days in office

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Financial Accountant to join a London-based finance team during a key period of reporting and transformation.

The role will support core financial reporting activities while also contributing to a finance transformation programme, including the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365. This presents a great opportunity for a technically strong accountant with exposure to ERP implementations, system migrations, or finance transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit
• Liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Supporting group reporting and consolidation
• Contributing to finance transformation initiatives, including the rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Contributing to the ongoing transformation of financial systems and controls in line with company growth
• Assisting with process improvement and strengthening financial controls
• Working on reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments

Candidate profile

• ACA qualified (or equivalent)
• Big 4 or top-tier audit training
• 3–5 years PQE
• Post-qualification industry experience
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting skills
• Exposure to ERP implementations or finance transformation is highly desirable
• This role would particularly suit a technically strong ACA with a Big 4 background and 3–5 years PQE looking to take on a hands‑on interim role with exposure to a major finance systems implementation.
