HR Business Partner – Maternity Cover (12–14 Months)

Location: Mayfair, London (Office-based, 5 days/week)

A mid-sized financial services organisation is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their London team on a 12–14 month maternity cover contract. This role reports to the Head of People and is part of a small, collaborative HR team.

You will support a client group of approximately 150 employees, many of whom operate in global roles. Stakeholders include both front-office professionals and senior leaders, as well as corporate functions.

The business has well-established HR systems and processes but values a hands-on approach to people support. You’ll be expected to provide practical guidance, coaching, and delivery across a range of HR needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle
• Recruitment coordination and support
• Benefits administration and renewals
• Occasional employee relations casework, as needed
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to HR initiatives

About You:

• Previous experience in a financial services environment is essential
• Comfortable working in a regulated, professional setting
• Strong attention to detail and responsiveness to people matters
• Practical, delivery-focused approach with the ability to contribute ideas and improvements
• Office-based role in central Mayfair (5 days per week – non-negotiable)
