SMT Recruitment is seeking an Interim HR Advisor in Luton for a 3-month contract to provide HR support and guidance to management and staff, focusing on employee relations, compliance and policy administration. The role requires CIPD Level 5 or 7 and proven ER experience, with strong partnering skills and a practical, solutions‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or 7 is required.
• Experience managing employee relations cases essential.
• Generalist HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations management including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance issues.
• Provide proactive HR advice to line managers and support informed people decisions.
• Ensure HR policies are compliant and continuously improved to meet needs.
• Administration: starters/leavers, sickness recording, training records, and legal guidance.
