Job summary

Elevation HR are delighted to be working with a successful Engineering Business based in Huddersfield as they appoint an Interim HR Advisor on a full-time basis. The role will be for 12 months in the first instance.

Reporting into the HR Business Partner, the role will involve coaching and advising on HR issues, managing high-volume ER casework, and supporting development conversations across an established HR team in a manufacturing environment. Hybrid working and flexible hours are included.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in an HR Advisor role or above.
• Experience in FMCG/Manufacturing/Logistics/Distribution preferred.
• CIPD qualification or working towards it.
• Experience handling high-volume ER casework.

Responsibilities

• Managing a high volume of employee relations casework advising managers on employment law
• Provide clear, practical advice and make timely decisions on complex and sensitive cases
• Coaching and guiding managers on HR policies and embedding best practice across the business
• Supporting apprentice performance reviews and development conversations and interviews
• Prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Build strong relationships with union representatives and support effective union engagement
