Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an interim leader to take charge of the Maths curriculum across the further education provision. You will provide day-to-day leadership to the teaching team, ensure delivery stays on track and learners progress during the interim period.

You will oversee teaching quality, learning and assessment, support and develop staff, and use data on attendance, retention and achievement to target improvements where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching Maths within further education.
• Experience of leading, managing or coordinating a team.
• Strong understanding of curriculum quality, learner outcomes and performance data.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the Maths teaching team on a day-to-day basis.
• Overseeing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the curriculum area.
• Monitoring learner attendance, retention, achievement and progress, and acting on the data.
• Supporting, developing and motivating teaching staff.
• Managing timetabling, staffing and resources across the area.
• Working with wider curriculum and support colleagues to maintain consistent standards.
