Job summary

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Interim Head of IT to lead our ICT function, ensuring secure, reliable systems that underpin compassionate patient care.

You will provide strategic leadership on technology, cyber security, data governance and digital transformation, while strengthening governance and continuity. The role includes leading the ICT team, managing budgets and engaging with senior stakeholders to plan long‑term digital improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ICT in regulated environments (healthcare/public sector).
• Senior ICT leadership experience, including interim or transformation roles.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to fulfil the role without sponsorship.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Are you an experienced IT leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and wants to use your expertise to support a cause that truly matters? Join our ICT team and play a vital role behind the scenes - enabling our colleagues to deliver outstanding, compassionate care every day. As Interim Head of IT, you will lead our digital, information governance and ICT services for an initial six-month period. You will be responsible for maintaining business-critical systems, strengthening cyber security, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation, and progressing key digital improvement initiatives

What you will do

• Providing strategic leadership on technology, cyber security, data governance and digital transformation.
• Ensuring stable and effective ICT operations and service delivery.
• Leading digital infrastructure, cloud services, networks and system improvements.
• Acting as the organisation's Information Governance Lead.
• Ensuring compliance with UK GDPR, Data Protection legislation and NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit requirements.
• Leading and developing the ICT team.
• Improving reporting, data governance and organisational use of information.
• Strengthening business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
• Producing recommendations and future plans to support long-term digital success.
• Significant experience in a senior ICT leadership, interim management or transformation role
• Proven success leading organisational change, digital transformation or service improvement programmes
• Strong experience managing cyber security, information governance and data protection compliance
• Experience operating within a regulated environment such as healthcare, charity or public sector organisations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience leading teams, managing budgets and influencing senior leaders
