Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, management and ongoing development of the ALS and SEND Support Management Team.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, student-focused learning support services across the Group.
• Offer guidance, coaching and professional development opportunities to maintain excellence within the team.
• Lead the design and delivery of staff training programmes to enhance awareness, confidence and skills in supporting learners with additional needs.
• Work closely with quality and curriculum teams to ensure robust processes are in place to monitor and maintain outstanding support provision, both in and out of the classroom.
• Identify and maximise opportunities to secure and grow funding streams that support SEND and ALS services and future development.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure provision reflects local and national priorities, trends and sector developments.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and inclusivity across all areas of SEND and ALS support.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Group Head of SEND & ALS to provide outstanding operational leadership and management of Additional Learning Support (ALS) and SEND provision across Stamford and Peterborough College.

This exciting interim opportunity is ideal for a proven SEND leader who can quickly make a positive impact, drive service excellence, and support the continued development of high-quality, student-centred provision that maximises learner achievement and progress.

Working closely with the Assistant Principal for Student Experience and Support, you will contribute to the strategic direction, growth and stakeholder accountability of ALS and SEND services, ensuring provision remains responsive, innovative and focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for students.
