Job summary

Lorien in London is seeking an experienced interim Technical Accountant to support the Financial Control team through year-end. You will manage the external auditors, provide IFRS accounting backbone, and address complex consolidation and acquisition accounting challenges.

Qualifications

ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification is required.
Experience preparing and reviewing annual reports and statutory financial statements.
Strong command of IFRS and complex group consolidations.
Experience with audits, consolidation and acquisition accounting contexts.

Responsibilities

Lead the annual external audit and coordinate with auditors to meet deadlines.
Own technical accounting positions under IFRS, documenting key judgements.
Support statutory reporting and review of annual reports and financial statements.
Provide technical input on business combinations and post‑acquisition activity.
Oversee consolidation across entities, currencies, and eliminations.
Bridge IFRS and US GAAP implications where relevant.
Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, and treasury stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and governance.
