Job summary

Qualifications

• Lead implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure requirements.

Job description

The Financial Reporting Manager will support the integrity, governance and delivery of the Group's external financial reporting. The role acts as a lead technical accounting advisor, providing independent accounting advice, preparing technical papers, leading external audit relationships and ensuring compliance and FCA

regulatory requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

• Support the finance team with the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for the business and the consolidated Group accounts ensuring full compliance with applicable IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversight of the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for subsidiary companies and Group consolidation.
• Prepare technical accounting papers and policy documentation for senior stakeholders.
• Support the process of financial statement redesign and adjustment.
• Maintain robust supporting documentation and audit trails for all financial disclosures.
• Advise on technical accounting matters, providing definitive accounting conclusions and recommendations.
• Interpret and lead implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
• Lead accounting assessments for significant transactions, new products, business initiatives and strategic projects.
• Influence decision-making through clear recommendations on accounting, reporting and financial control implications.
• Prepare high-quality Board papers and financial reports, clearly articulating key issues, risks, and judgements.

About You:

• Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent with significant post-qualification experience.
• Significant experience within listed entities or complex regulated organisations in the Financial Services sector or similar.
• Demonstrable experience providing independent technical accounting advice to Executive and preparing supporting documentation.
• Strong track record of managing complex accounting judgements and policy decisions.
• Experience implementing accounting standard changes and assessing business impacts.
• Strong written communication skills, with experience producing Board-level papers.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
