Job summary

TalentHawk is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its Technical Accounting & External Reporting team in London. This role combines IFRS expertise with financial reporting responsibilities, supporting complex accounting matters, group consolidation, SOX controls, and statutory accounts.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with 2+ years post-qualification experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and research skills.
• Listed company experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical accounting papers and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and business initiatives.
• Support implementation of new IFRS standards and maintain accounting policies.
• Produce disclosures for half-year and annual reporting requirements.
• Operate and document key SOX controls.
• Support month-end group consolidation, including journals, eliminations, and reporting reviews.
• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and head office reporting.
• Build relationships across finance teams and support financial reporting initiatives.

Package

• Salary up to £80,000 depending on experience.
