Job summary

Four Squared is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to oversee the finance function for an SME in Birmingham. You will lead financial reporting, controls, cash management, and budgeting, with hands-on expertise in Sage 200.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will partner with the leadership team to drive commercial insight, optimise processes and ensure regulatory compliance during a period of change and growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager in SMEs.
• Hands-on with Sage 200 and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with cash flow, budgeting and VAT/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present quarterly accounts.
• Produce P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and KPI reports.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
