Job summary

Keeler Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a hands-on leadership role on a 3-month contract. You will report to the CFO and manage day-to-day finance while driving strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), with proven Financial Controller experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams.
• Hands-on and proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Available to commence the assignment at short notice or immediately.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, support and oversight.
• Take ownership of the month-end close process and financial reporting.
• Ensure robust financial controls and governance are maintained.
• Oversee management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Act as a trusted partner to the CFO and wider leadership team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiencies where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
