Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced interim Financial Controller for a manufacturing group and its division in Ryde, Isle of Wight. The role is hybrid, requiring two days in the office weekly, with oversight over day-to-day financial management.

You will lead monthly accounts, statutory returns, budgeting support, and provide high-quality analysis to aid strategic decisions while managing the finance team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in financial management of an SME.
• Full accountancy qualification required or ideal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accounts including balance sheet reconciliations (stock, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments).
• Prepare annual financial statements and statutory returns (VAT).
• Support budgeting with monthly reforecasts and cost/performance analysis.
• Provide MD with meaningful performance/cost analysis for strategic decisions.
• Manage and support the Finance team in daily duties.

Job description

Division of a Manufacturing Group based in Ryde, Isle of Wight, has an opportunity for an experienced, hands on interim Financial Controller to undertake responsibility for the day to day financial management of the organisation.

What will the interim Financial Controller opportunity involve?

• Preparation of monthly accounts including balance sheet reconciliations to incorporating stock, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments
• Preparation of annual financial statements and all statutory returns including VAT
• Support the annual budgeting process working with key stakeholders to understand financial costs and performance through monthly reforecasting
• Work closely with the Managing Director through the provision of effective and meaningful analysis on performance and costs to enable strategic business decision making
• Manage and support Finance team in their daily duties

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Financial Controller vacancy:

• Applicants for the position will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with a proven track record of successfully undertaking the hands-on financial management of an SME
• Strong communication skills will be essential to undertake the role successfully
