Job summary

You will oversee monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial analysis to support commercial decisions, while managing stock, margins and the finance team.

Interim Financial Controller – Manufacturing

Location: York

Salary: Up to £65,000

Contract: Interim

Working Pattern: Full-time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a well-established manufacturing business in York. This is a hands-on interim opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can quickly take ownership of the finance function, provide strong financial control and support the business through a period of change.

The Role

Working closely with the senior management team, you will oversee the finance function and provide accurate, timely financial information to support commercial and operational decision-making. Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function

About You

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager with previous experience within a manufacturing environment. You will ideally have:

• Previous experience at Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager level
• Strong management accounting and reporting experience
• Previous manufacturing or engineering sector experience
• Experience with stock, product costing and marginsStrong understanding of financial controls and processes
• Experience managing and developing a finance team
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills
• The ability to quickly understand a business and make an immediate impact
• Previous interim experience would be advantageous

Salary: Up to £65,000, depending on experience.
