Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller for a growing manufacturing business in Harlow. The role is temporary with the potential for permanency, and you will support the FD with budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting, ensuring robust analysis and strong control environments.

You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with hands-on experience at Financial Controller or Finance Director level.

My client is looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join them on a temporary basis to look after some key projects over the coming months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small finance team and make a real impact in a growing business. There is the opportunity of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Harlow.

Description

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the FD with the budgeting and forecasting process - providing robust financial analysis and engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure plans are aligned with divisional priorities.
• Assisting with the current Internal Audit process and producing the key reports needed - ensuring effective internal controls are maintained.
• Strengthening processes and controls in finance - implementing new procedures and process improvements and bringing the finance team on the change journey with you.
• Preparation and submission of month-end reporting

Profile

You must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and have proven experience at a Financial Controller / Finance Director level, with the willingness to be hands-on.

Experience within the manufacturing / construction sector would be very beneficial. Those from a professional services / financial services background will not be considered.

SAP experience would also be useful.

Availability is also key for this role - my client would like someone to start around the beginning of September at the latest.

Job Offer

• Up to the equivalent of £75,000 on a daily rate basis (please note this role sits inside IR35).
• Hybrid working - 3 days in the office in Harlow and 2 days from home.
