Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and deliver accurate reporting within a 5-day close.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and a strong financial control environment.
• Collaborate with FP&A and wider Finance stakeholders across the international business.
• Partner with Payroll, HR and the wider organisation.
• Support the Dutch entity through finance restructuring and change.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working.
• Provide financial oversight across a complex, multi-site international environment.
• Support the wider Finance function during transformation and growth.

Interim Financial Controller | £500-£600 per day (Outside IR35) | Immediate Start | London | Hybrid

Altum Consulting are partnering with a leading international FMCG business headquartered in the Netherlands to appoint an experienced Interim Business Controller to support its Dutch operations during a period of transformation and growth.

The business operates across multiple international sites and markets, making this a great opportunity for someone with strong financial control experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex, multi-site environment and taking ownership from day one.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of the month-end close, delivering accurate reporting within a 5-day close


• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a strong financial control environment


• Working closely with FP&A and wider Finance stakeholders across the international business


• Partnering with teams across Payroll, HR and the wider organisation


• Supporting the Dutch entity through an ongoing finance restructure and period of change


• Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, controls and ways of working


• Providing strong financial oversight across a complex, multi-site international environment


• Supporting the wider Finance function as the business continues to transform and grow

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent accounting qualification


• 7+ years post-qualified experience


• Experience working with or supporting a Dutch entity


• Experience within an FMCG, retail or similarly fast-paced multi-site business


• Dutch language skills would be a strong advantage, but are not essential


• Exposure to inventory accounting would also be advantageous
