Job summary

Butler Rose is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a fast-paced business in Greater London on a temporary basis, with immediate start and Inside IR35 status.

You will own day-to-day finance operations, oversee month-end processes, manage cash flow and provide critical financial insight to senior stakeholders to inform business decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with month-end, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.

Interim Financial Controller

Are you an experienced Financial Controller available for your next interim assignment?

We're looking for a confident and hands-on Interim Financial Controller to join a business on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can hit the ground running, take ownership of financial operations and provide support to the wider business.

Please note: Candidates must be immediately available and happy to work on a contract inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Managing month-end and year-end processes.
• Monitoring cash flow, budgets and financial performance.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensuring accurate financial records and robust financial controls are maintained.
• Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting audit requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support business decisions.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

About You

• Proven experience working as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role is essential.
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience managing financial reporting processes.
• Experience with month-end, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicating financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and make an immediate impact.
• Immediately available to start.
• Happy to work on a temporary contract inside IR35.
