As an Interim Financial Accountant, you will work with a collaborative finance team and deliver accurate financial reporting, ensure compliance, and support transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and reporting."
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build positive working relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare and post journals with minimal supervision.
• Support the preparation and completion of statutory accounts and group reporting submissions.
• Perform reconciliations of debtor, creditor and intercompany balances across multiple entities.
• Produce and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and other key stakeholders, providing documentation and responding to queries as required.
• Ensure accounting policies, controls and governance requirements are applied consistently.
• Lead and support finance improvement projects, including systems enhancements and process optimisation initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior team members where required, with potential line management responsibilities.
