Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is supporting a dynamic business in Poole by appointing an immediately available Interim Accountant for a six-month contract to drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, coordinating budgets across operating companies, producing monthly management accounts and analysing trends, risks and opportunities.

The role is office-based with potential for permanent appointment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with relevant practice.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Able to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the budget process across multiple operating companies and support the delivery of annual budgets.
• Review assumptions and support forecasting with stakeholders across the business.
• Prepare rolling forecasts and analyse variances against budget.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reporting for senior management.
• Review financial performance and provide analysis on trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support cash flow forecasting, working capital reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Are you an immediately available Interim Accountant ready to start an exciting six-month contract within a dynamic business? This role will support the business through a key period of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, working closely with senior leaders and departmental stakeholders. The position offers broad involvement across reporting, analysis and business partnering activities.

What will the Interim Accountant role involve?

• Coordinate the budget process across multiple operating companies and support the delivery of annual budgets.
• Work with stakeholders across the business to review assumptions and support the forecasting process.
• Prepare rolling forecasts and analyse variances against budget.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reporting for senior management.
• Review financial performance and provide analysis on trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support cash flow forecasting, working capital reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Accountant vacancy:

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and preferably with some previous experience within a stock-based business.
• Previous involvement in budgeting and forecasting, with proven analytical and financial modelling capability.
• Able to build effective working relationships and communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
