A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a high-profile, internationally owned business based in Sheffield. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideal for a qualified accountant who can hit the ground running and add value from day one.
Working as part of a collaborative finance team with strong links to Group functions across Europe, this role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, treasury, and tax.
Reporting to the UK Finance Director, the successful candidate will take on a wide-ranging brief, including:
Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS.
Ownership of general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and UK statutory accounts.
Business partnering with Group Finance, Treasury, Tax, and the Finance Shared Services Centre.
Managing liquidity planning, operational banking, and intercompany funding.
Ensuring accurate tax compliance (including VAT, corporation tax, and deferred tax).
Supporting system and process improvements across finance.
Mentoring junior team members and sharing technical expertise.
A fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
Experience in a group or multi-entity environment, ideally with international exposure.
Proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
