Job summary

Finatal is seeking an Interim Finance Manager based in Reading, UK to support the finance function during a critical growth period. This hands-on role involves financial control, month-end activities, audit support, and maintaining balance sheet integrity across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with significant experience in finance management or senior accounting roles, ideally within SaaS or PE-backed environments. Immediate availability is preferred.

About the Role

We are supporting a PE-backed international SaaS business with the appointment of an Interim Finance Manager to support the finance function through a period of continued growth and operational development.

This is a hands-on role focused on financial control, month-end delivery, audit support, and balance sheet integrity across a complex multi-entity environment. The business operates internationally and uses NetSuite as its core ERP platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and support month-end close activities across multiple entities
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls
• Manage general ledger integrity and oversee core accounting processes
• Support year-end audit activities and act as a key contact for external auditors
• Assist with statutory accounting and financial reporting requirements
• Ensure accurate posting of journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions
• Support cashflow and working capital reporting where required
• Work closely with wider finance teams to improve processes and reporting accuracy
• Support ongoing finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with NetSuite-related finance processes and system enhancements
• Operate within a PE-backed reporting environment with tight reporting deadlines

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience operating within Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant roles
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of debits/credits
• Extensive balance sheet reconciliation and month-end close experience
• Experience managing or supporting external audits
• Previous experience within SaaS, technology, or PE-backed businesses is highly desirable
• Available immediately or at short notice
