Job summary

Finatal is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director for an initial six-month contract in the UK. The role is senior and hands-on, reporting to the CFO, and requires taking immediate ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.

The successful candidate will lead the finance team, manage month-end and statutory reporting, oversee budgeting and cash flow, and provide insightful financial analysis to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials.
• Experience operating at Finance Director level.
• PE-backed or private equity-backed business experience.
• Hands-on, fast-paced financial leadership capability.
• Board or investor-facing communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day finance function and manage the finance team.
• Own month-end, management and statutory reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Provide high-quality financial analysis and commercial insight.
• Manage audit, tax, compliance and external advisers.
• Oversee working capital and cash management.
• Support the Board and PE investor with timely information.
• Drive improvements in finance processes, controls and systems.
• Partner with CFO and senior leadership on strategic projects.
