Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join a fast-paced, technology-led manufacturing environment in Leeds. This is a 6–9 month contract to strengthen the finance team, deliver management and statutory accounts, and partner with the Finance Director to drive key business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, thrive on improving processes, and have experience with large-scale ERP systems.

This role requires someone who can make an immediate impact in a fast-paced, technology-led manufacturing environment. The business is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the finance function over the next 6 – 9 months.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strengthening finance teams and partnering closely with a Finance Director or CFO to deliver key business and finance projects. You will be a hands-on finance professional who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and driving operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day finance function and overseeing the production of management and statutory accounts.

• Supporting the Finance Director with strategic initiatives and project delivery.

• Identifying and implementing process improvements across the finance function.

• Producing insightful ad hoc reporting and analysis for the senior leadership team.

• Ensuring deadlines are met in a dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.

You will be a natural business partner, confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels and providing clear financial insight to support decision‑making. Experience working with large-scale ERP systems is highly desirable.
