Senior ERP Project Manager needed on an interim basis in Derby.

Contract: Initial 6 months

Working Pattern: 3-4 days onsite per week

Day Rate: £500-£550pd

IR35: Outside IR35

The Opportunity:

We are supporting an established manufacturing group looking for an experienced Interim Senior Project Manager to lead several business-critical ERP integration and technology transformation projects.

The business operates across multiple companies, with ERP at the centre of its technology landscape.

You will take ownership of multiple projects, driving delivery, managing stakeholders and ensuring systems work effectively together.

This is a hands-on delivery role, requiring someone who can quickly understand business challenges, identify solutions and make things happen.

Key Projects:

• CRM Integration: Lead the selection and implementation of a CRM and Quote Management System, ensuring effective integration with their ERP.
• AI Sales Order Automation: Oversee the integration of an AI-powered solution to automate customer order processing and reduce manual input.
• Accounts Payable Automation: Assess and deliver opportunities to automate AP matching and integrate with their ERP.
• Field Service Management: Lead the implementation of Team Leaf, consolidating existing applications and integrating field operations with SYSPRO financials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple concurrent ERP and systems integration projects from planning through to delivery.
• Work closely with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Sales and Operations.
• Manage third-party suppliers, challenging delivery timelines and ensuring accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce duplication and increase operational efficiency.
• Develop practical project plans, manage risks and resolve delivery challenges.
• Provide clear progress updates and recommendations
• Take ownership of outcomes rather than simply administering projects.

Experience Required:

• Strong background delivering ERP implementation or integration projects.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or similarly complex operational environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple technology projects simultaneously.
• Experience integrating ERP platforms with CRM, finance or operational applications.
• Strong stakeholder and third-party supplier management skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable operating independently.
• SYSPRO experience highly desirable, although strong experience with other ERP platforms will be considered.
