Job summary

Datacareers, a technology consultancy, seeks an experienced ERP Project Manager in the City of London to lead external client ERP implementations from mobilisation to go-live and handover.

You will work closely with customers, consultants and technical teams to ensure on-time delivery, budget compliance, and achievement of commercial objectives. Experience across ERP platforms and consultancy environments is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering ERP implementations is essential.
• Experience in a consultancy, SI or professional services environment is preferred.
• Experience across the full ERP lifecycle including go-live and hypercare.
• Strong commercial awareness: budgeting, forecasting and margins.
• Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
• Excellent planning, risk management and communication skills.
• Experience with multiple ERP platforms (Unit4, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, NetSuite) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ERP implementation projects from initiation to handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, milestones and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate project teams including consultants, technical specialists and customer resources.
• Act as primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations and relationships.
• Manage project finances: budgets, forecasting and change control.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies with governance and reporting.
• Oversee scope, change requests and adherence to Statements of Work.
• Support system adoption, transition to support and post-implementation activities.

We are recruiting for an experienced ERP Project Manager to join an established technology consultancy specialising in ERP implementation and business transformation projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in delivering ERP solutions to external customers, taking ownership of projects from initial mobilisation and planning through to go-live and handover.

Working closely with customers, consultants and technical teams, you will be responsible for ensuring ERP implementations are delivered successfully, on time, within budget and to agreed commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end ERP implementation projects, from initiation and discovery through to go-live and handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, milestones and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate project teams including functional consultants, technical specialists and customer resources.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships.
• Manage project finances, including budgets, forecasting, margins and change control.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring effective governance and reporting.
• Oversee project scope, change requests and adherence to agreed Statements of Work.
• Support successful system adoption, transition to support and post-implementation activities.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience managing ERP implementation projects is essential.
• Ideally, experience delivering ERP implementations within a consultancy, systems integrator or professional services environment.
• Experience managing the full ERP project lifecycle, including implementation, testing, go-live and hypercare.
• Strong commercial awareness, including project budgeting, forecasting and margin management.
• Experience managing customer relationships and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent project planning, risk management and communication skills.
• Experience with Unit4, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite or similar ERP platforms would be advantageous.
• PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent project management qualifications would be beneficial.

This role would suit an established ERP Project Manager who enjoys delivering customer-facing implementations and taking responsibility for successful project outcomes.
