Job summary

Berry Recruitment is seeking an Interim ERP Implementation Project Manager to lead a major ERP transformation for a Cornish business. You will oversee the project plan, milestones and dependencies, coordinating Finance, Operations and IT with external suppliers to ensure a smooth go-live.

This role requires a proven ERP delivery track record, strong governance, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders. Part-time, 2-3 days per week, 6-9 month contract in Cornwall.

Qualifications

• Experience managing business requirements from design through to implementation.
• Experience coordinating UAT, testing and go-live activities.
• Strong understanding of finance and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the ERP implementation project plan, milestones and dependencies.
• Act as the primary business-side contact for external suppliers, IT and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate Finance, Operations and IT teams to ensure actions are delivered on time.
• Ensure business requirements are clearly understood, documented and reflected in the ERP solution.
• Coordinate business process design and future-state operating procedures.
• Oversee data migration, integrations and technical dependencies with IT/partners.
• Manage UAT, including test planning, defect resolution and sign-off.
• Coordinate user training and business readiness activities.
• Develop and manage cutover and go-live plans.
• Lead go-live readiness and post-implementation support.
• Monitor project risks, issues, costs and scope.
• Provide regular project reporting and maintain logs.

Berry Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Interim ERP Implementation Project Manager to join a well-established Cornish business during a significant ERP transformation project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with a strong track record of delivering ERP implementations and business transformation initiatives. Working closely with Finance, Operations, IT and external suppliers, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a new ERP system and preparing the business for a smooth go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the overall ERP implementation project plan, milestones and dependencies.
• Act as the primary business-side contact for external suppliers, IT and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate Finance, Operations and IT teams to ensure project actions and decisions are delivered on time.
• Ensure business requirements are clearly understood, documented and reflected in the ERP solution.
• Coordinate business process design and future-state operating procedures.
• Oversee data migration, integrations and technical dependencies in collaboration with IT and implementation partners.
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, defect resolution and sign-off.
• Coordinate user training and business readiness activities.
• Develop and manage cutover and go-live plans.
• Lead go-live readiness and post-implementation support.
• Monitor project risks, issues, costs and scope.
• Provide regular project reporting and maintain action and decision logs.

About You

• Proven experience managing ERP implementation or business transformation projects.
• Strong project planning, governance and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing business requirements through to implementation.
• Previous experience coordinating UAT, testing and go-live activities.
• Strong understanding of finance and operational business processes.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and external suppliers.

Desirable Experience

• Experience replacing Sage or other legacy finance systems.
• Background within manufacturing, construction, distribution, aggregates or multi-site operational environments.
