Job summary

Venn Group is seeking an experienced EHCP Officer to support a West Midlands Local Authority SEND team on an interim basis. The role involves managing EHCP caseloads, coordinating needs assessments, and drafting high-quality plans within statutory timescales.

Some onsite work is preferred with flexibility for remote working for the right candidate. Experience across the full EHCP process is valued, with opportunities to specialise in new assessments or annual reviews depending on expertise.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of SEND caseloads and ensure EHCPs are completed within statutory timescales.
• Coordinate assessments and annual reviews with schools, parents/carers, health and social care services.
• Prepare, draft and quality assure EHCPs, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
• Act as a key contact for families and professionals, providing clear guidance throughout the EHCP process.
• Lead annual reviews and coordinate amendments as needed.
• Support SEND Tribunal processes as required and maintain case records.
