Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Credit Controller for an SME on the outskirts of Southampton. You will help maintain cash flow by strengthening credit control and sales ledger processes during a busy period.

The role offers hybrid working (three days in the office, two days from home) and a two-month interim contract, with salary dependent on experience. You will support post-acquisition business-as-usual activities and improve financial processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and sales ledger, able to manage a varied workload.
• Strong customer and stakeholder communication with a calm, solution-focused approach.
• High accuracy and attention to detail when reconciling accounts and resolving queries.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end credit control activities to reduce overdue balances and support timely collections.
• Oversee sales ledger processes, monitor account status and resolve billing issues.
• Handle customer queries professionally, maintain audit trails and communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate ledger records and liaise with internal teams.
