Job summary

Baltimore Consulting is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for a 3-month rolling contract in London with hybrid working arrangements. The role pays £400 per day Inside IR35 via umbrella and requires oversight of a significant capital programme across a large school estate.

You will manage capital works, SEN expansion projects, budgets, procurement, and regulatory compliance while providing technical guidance and engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver safe, sustainable

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering construction, property, capital works or maintenance projects.
Qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Property, Project Management, or related field.
Building Surveying qualification or progress toward professional accreditation.
Strong knowledge of construction legislation, compliance, maintenance and asset management.
Experience in Local Authority, education estate or public sector settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of capital works, planned maintenance programmes and SEN expansion projects from inception to handover.
Manage project budgets, procurement activity, financial reporting and governance.
Provide expert technical property and construction advice, ensuring compliance.
Monitor contractor performance, programme delivery, quality standards and health & safety obligations.
Investigate building defects and develop repair strategies with stakeholders.
