Job summary

Merrifield Consultants is seeking an experienced fundraiser for a leadership role in Sheffield, overseeing a busy community, events and in-memory fundraising portfolio. The role requires delivering fundraising plans, managing income and expenditure, and ensuring supporters and volunteers have an excellent experience.

The post involves leading a team, strategic planning, and working in a hybrid pattern with 2 days in the office, reporting to the Director of Fundraising.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of community fundraising and events.
• Experience managing teams, budgets and income targets.
• Ability to contribute to fundraising strategy and supporter experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Community & Events Fundraising team with clear priorities and stability during change.
• Oversee reforecasting and financial planning for the next financial year and contribute to five-year strategy.
• Manage delivery of community, events and in-memory fundraising against income targets and KPIs.
• Monitor budgets and KPIs, using data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Director of Fundraising and teams to strengthen supporter experience and ensure policy compliance.
