Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. in Redruth, Cornwall, is recruiting a Commercial Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role is hands-on and supports a key systems implementation, with exposure to month-end, financial reporting and transactional finance.

You will join a collaborative finance team, taking ownership across a broad range of accounting activities and engaging with senior stakeholders. AAT qualification and 3+ years' experience are ideal.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification and at least 3 years’ accounting experience at a similar level.
• Strong Excel and systems skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end close, reconciliations and management accounts.
• Oversee purchase ledger and transactional finance processes.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting.
• Support preparation of statutory accounts and technical papers.
• Review VAT returns and support tax compliance.

Commercial Accountant - 6-month FTC - Redruth - £45,000 FTE + 10% completion bonus

Trial Balance are working with a well-backed, forward-thinking organisation in Cornwall to recruit a Commercial Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role supporting the finance team during a key systems implementation, offering broad exposure across transactional finance, month-end and financial reporting.

Joining a collaborative and close-knit finance team, you’ll take ownership across a broad range of accounting activities. This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting involved at all levels.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Supporting month-end close, reconciliations and management accounts
• Overseeing purchase ledger and transactional finance processes
• Assisting with internal and external financial reporting
• Supporting preparation of statutory accounts and technical papers
• Reviewing VAT returns and supporting tax compliance
• Providing ad hoc support across the team as required

You’ll also have regular exposure to senior stakeholders including the Head of Finance, CFO and external advisors.

You’ll ideally be AAT qualified and possess at least 3 years’ accounting experience gained at a similar level. You will bring strong Excel and systems skills alongside a pro-active and hands-on approach. Comfortable working in a dynamic, site-based environment, you’ll be adaptable, detail-oriented and confident supporting across all areas of finance.
