Job summary

RecruitSphere Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Interim Childrens Home Manager to take operational responsibility for a 3-bed childrens home in the Luton area, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and associated needs.

This hands-on interim role requires immediate leadership to ensure safeguarding, compliance with Ofsted and Childrens Homes Regulations, and high-quality care. The assignment initially lasts at least 3 months, with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Registered Manager or Senior Manager in children’s residential care.
• Strong safeguarding understanding and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lead a staff team, manage risk and develop care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide decisive operational leadership to a 3-bed home.
• Oversee staff supervision, performance management and development.
• Ensure safeguarding remains central and regulatory compliance is maintained.
• Review care plans, risk assessments and key documentation.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and rotas.
