Job summary

Panoramic Associates are working with an established elderly care provider in the South West seeking an experienced Interim Area Manager to provide hands-on, visible leadership across a portfolio of services.

This is a key assignment to quickly stabilise performance, support Registered Managers, and ensure high standards of care, compliance and financial delivery. You’ll oversee multi-site operations, drive improvement and maintain readiness for inspections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Area/Regional Manager (or equivalent) within elderly care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC expectations and inspection cycles.
• Track record of improving quality, leadership capability, and operational performance.
• Experience leading multi-site teams and managing change programmes.
• Willingness to travel across the South West and be visible on-site.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete)

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership across a multi-site elderly care portfolio
• Coach, support and performance-manage Registered Managers and senior teams
• Drive quality, safeguarding and governance, ensuring services are inspection-ready
• Lead action planning and improvement programmes after audits and inspections
• Improve occupancy and manage local stakeholder relationships and referrals
• Oversee budgets, cost control, staffing levels, and agency usage
• Ensure strong compliance across medication, documentation, training, and H&S
• Build a positive culture with clear accountability and consistent standards

Interim Area Manager - Elderly Care Provider (South West) Contract: Interim (6 months) | Location: South West (multi-site) | Start: ASAP | Rate: Competitive (DOE)

Panoramic Associates are working with an established elderly care provider in the South West who are seeking an experienced Interim Area Manager to provide hands-on, visible leadership across a portfolio of services. This is a key assignment for someone who can quickly stabilise performance, support Registered Managers, and ensure consistently high standards of care, compliance, and commercial delivery.

You’ll take responsibility for the operational oversight of multiple services, supporting teams to deliver safe, high-quality care and strong outcomes across quality, people, occupancy and finance. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to implement improvements, embed best practice, and maintain readiness for inspection.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership across a multi-site elderly care portfolio

• Confident managing multi-site teams, difficult performance issues, and change programmes
• Ability to travel across the South West and be visible on‑site
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete)
