Job summary

Morgan McKinley are partnering with a growing SME in Gloucester to recruit an SME Accountant on an interim basis for about 3-4 months, with a potential extension.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager, handling day-to-day transactions, VAT returns, and support for month-end, year-end processes and the annual audit. There are also chances to contribute to system improvements and future acquisitions.

Job description

Morgan McKinley are working with a growing, ever-changing business to recruit an SME Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis for a period of approximately 3 - 4 months with the opportunity to get extended.

This is a hands-on, varied role working closely with the Finance Manager and covering everything from day-to-day transactions through to supporting the preparation of management accounts. Responsibilities will include processing transactions, preparing VAT returns, assisting with month-end and year-end activities, and supporting the annual audit.

As the business continues to evolve, there will also be opportunities to get involved in wider projects, including systems improvements, implementation, and future acquisitions.

We're looking for someone who has worked in a similar SME finance role, enjoys variety and is happy to get involved across all areas of finance. Candidates who are immediately available or on a short notice period are particularly encouraged to apply.
