Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Bristol is seeking an Interim Accountant with strong Sage Intacct expertise to support a finance team on an interim basis. The role focuses on maximising Sage Intacct adoption, improving processes and day-to-day efficiency, alongside core accounting duties.

The candidate will act as Sage Intacct SME, train colleagues, and drive best practices across the finance function. Onsite work 3 days per week is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Sage Intacct experience with training capability.
• Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles.
• Experience promoting user adoption is a plus.
• Ability to explain complex system functionality clearly.
• Proactive, collaborative and stakeholder-focused.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Sage Intacct subject matter expert.
• Train, coach and support finance colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and promote best practice within the system.
• Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for finance users.
• Assist with journals, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
• Support the finance team with accounting aspects of disposals/divestments.
